How to enable Remote View for iOS devices
Hexnode’s Remote view feature allows the enterprise administrators to remotely view, monitor and manage iOS devices in real-time. This feature allows you to remotely view the screen of an iOS device directly from the Hexnode UEM console. Real-time monitoring of the device aids in quickly diagnosing and resolving the problems reported by the users.
Configuring Hexnode Remote View Settings
To start with Remote view, initially you need to enable the Remote View settings from the Hexnode console.
- Login to your Hexnode UEM portal.
- Navigate to Admin > General Settings.
- Check the option Enable Remote View under Remote View & Control Settings.
- Click on Save.
To remotely view iOS devices using Hexnode
To enable remote view, ensure that you have Hexnode’s latest version installed on your device.
Follow the steps mentioned below to enable remote view on your iOS devices using Hexnode.
- Login to your Hexnode UEM portal.
- Navigate to Manage > Devices.
- Identify and select the device from the list of enrolled devices.
- Click on Start Session.
- A notification appears on the device showing that remote session has been initiated.
- Open the Hexnode UEM app on the device and select Remote view from the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap on Start Remote button.
- Screen broadcast icon appears and tap on Start broadcast to start screen broadcasting with Hexnode.
- Click on Stop / Restart button to end / resume the remote view session respectively. Click on Maximize button to fit the remote view session to your screen.
For iOS 11 devices, the broadcast button won’t be available under Remote View section in Hexnode UEM app.
Follow the steps to enable remote view on iOS 11 devices.
After initiating Start Session from the Hexnode UEM portal,
Step 1:
- Head onto Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls and include Screen Recording.
Step 2:
- Open Control Center and tap on the Screen recording button.
- From the pop-up that appears, select Hexnode UEM app icon.
- Tap on Start broadcast to start screen broadcasting with Hexnode.
