How to enable/disable lost mode on ChromeOS devices?

When assigning devices to employees, IT administrators take every possible step to protect the data on those devices. However, if a device is lost or stolen, the risk of a data breach increases significantly. While taking precautions like encryption and strong password enforcements is essential, it’s equally important to have extra measures in place to safeguard data in case the device falls into the wrong hands.

One such precaution is enabling lost mode on devices, which locks the device and prevents unauthorized access to its data. If a ChromeOS device is lost or stolen, you can use Hexnode’s “Enable Lost Mode” remote action to secure it. Once the device is recovered, use the “Disable Lost Mode” remote action to unlock the device.
