How to earn points on Hexnode Connect?
Points are granted to the members of Hexnode Connect for various types of contributions they make to the community. Earning points will lead the members to unlocking badges and hence climbing up the community rank. Here’s a detailed guide on how to do so.
All content in Hexnode Connect are categorized into Discussion and Ideation. Discussions will ideally consist of general queries and conversations on various topics, whereas Ideation is reserved for new and innovative ideas and feature requests. Collectively, they will be referred to as posts.
Points are awarded for the following actions:
- 50 points on becoming a member of Hexnode Connect.
- 15 points on starting each discussion.
- 20 points on posting each idea.
- 5 points on adding a reply to a post.
- 10 points on receiving a reply on any of your posts.
- 2 points on following another member of Hexnode Connect.
- 5 points when another member of Hexnode Connect follows you.
- 2 points on upvoting a post.
- 25 points on any of your posts being upvoted by another member.
- 50 points on any of your replies being marked as solution by the author of the post.
- On earning a badge – each badge will earn you a different number of points.
Badges on Hexnode Connect and how to unlock them:
Insider – The Insider badge gets unlocked as soon as you sign up to Hexnode Connect.
Autobiographer – Earned when your profile update has been completed. Keeping your profile updated will help you network better with other members of Hexnode Connect, making it easier for them to reach out to you. To complete your profile:
- Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Select My Profile.
- Click on the Edit button.
- Fill in all the fields and click Update Profile.
The Autobiographer badge will fetch you 5 points.
Social Bee – The Social Bee badges are unlocked when you follow a certain number of members:

Spokesperson – The Spokesperson badge is unlocked when you’ve received over 10 upvotes on at least 3 discussions and will fetch you 50 points.
Through active participation and engagement on Hexnode Connect, you will find yourself earning more points and unlocking more badges, thereby making your way through the community ranks. The various ranks are:
- Novice – You start off as a novice.
- Veteran – On attaining 250 points, you will be a Veteran in the community.
- Pro – You become a Pro when you’ve gained 750 points.
- Champion – Attain 1500 points to be recognized as a Champion.
- Master – Once you’ve gained 3000 points, you’re a Master.
- Legend – Being named Legend doesn’t come easy, 6000 points is what it’ll take.
- God – The highest rank there is. A solid 12,000 points, and that’s what you will be in Hexnode Connect – God.
