Enable/disable data roaming restrictions on iPhone/iPad

This doc helps you manage data roaming restrictions on an iPhone/iPad.

Data roaming enables mobile devices to connect and access a network when traveling outside the coverage area of its network provider. Allowing data roaming on a corporate device is recommended only after thorough consideration by the administrators. The feature, for instance, may incur additional charges from the mobile service provider when the device is in transit.

With Hexnode UEM, IT admins can remotely enable or disable data roaming instantly for iOS devices allowing access to cellular data and voice roaming services outside the coverage area of the home network.
The user may also configure the data roaming settings from the device without restrictions.

Notes:

  • For dual-SIM devices, the action applies only to the first inserted SIM.
  • This feature is supported on devices running iOS 5.0+.
