Create custom help text on Android to help modify device settings

Custom help texts are notifications or instructions displayed to users when they interact with specific disabled settings on their devices. Disabled device settings refer to settings on an Android device that have been restricted by the device admin. Hexnode UEM offers a feature to set custom help texts for Android, designed to provide guidance and clarity to users encountering disabled device settings or navigating through device admin apps. These messages are customizable to an organization’s specific needs, offering helpful information to users. This help document assists in implementing custom help text for Android devices using Hexnode UEM’s Support messages feature.

Notes:

  • The policy is supported on devices enrolled via Android Enterprise, both Device Owner and Profile Owner (Android 7.0+).
  • This feature is supported on Hexnode UEM’s Enterprise, Ultimate and Ultra subscription plans.
