The intuitive dashboard streamlines the overall monitoring process and provides more information about enrolled devices and users in real-time.
- Enroll: The Enroll tab encompasses the different provisioning methods to onboard devices in Hexnode. Here, administrators can also configure the enrollment settings prior to enrolling the devices with the aid of the Settings sub-tab.
- Manage: The Manage tab offers a feature-rich platform to manage devices, users, groups, or even domains from a single location. It provides a plethora of quick device management and monitoring capabilities. In addition, you can execute a bunch of remote actions on an individual device or multiple devices.
- Policies: The Policies tab comprises a set of configurations and restrictions to manage, secure and monitor the endpoints enrolled in Hexnode. These policies can be targeted to devices, users, device groups, user groups, or even domains.
- Apps: The Apps tab displays all sets of apps in a unified window. Administrators can view all apps under a single pane of glass. It includes all the store, enterprise, web, VPP, and Managed Google apps.
- Content: The Content tab acts as the warehouse for storing any content – documents, images, or even videos.
- Admin: The Admin tab houses all the settings that should be configured to deliver the complete management tool. Some of these settings include Apple Push Notification Service (APNs), Apple Business/School Manager, Android Enterprise, Active Directory, API, and so on.
- Get Started: The Get Started pane provides a complete walkthrough of the product to manage endpoints effectively.
3. Set up Hexnode UEM
The technicians can onboard directories, enroll devices, configure policies, check compliances, distribute apps, track device locations, and whatnot. But before that, you need to set up some basic configurations that may be necessary to execute several management actions. Most of these configurations are available on the Admin tab of the UEM console.
- Sync directories with Hexnode: Integrating Hexnode with your directory servers will seamlessly sync your users, groups, OUs, or domains with the UEM console. Hexnode supports the integration with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta for simplified device enrollment, secured authentication capabilities, and easy group and policy management.
- Set up enrollment request modes: Sending enrollment invites to the users via email or SMS initially requires configuring the email and SMS settings on the portal, respectively. If no email server is configured, Hexnode uses its default email server to send emails.
- Enterprise and technology integrations: Hexnode teams up with other enterprise and technology solutions to bring the ultimate device management experience. The major integrations include, but are not limited to, Apple Business Manager (ABM), Apple School Manager (ASM), Android Enterprise, Samsung Knox, Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and much more.
- Other enrollment-specific configurations: Enrolling Apple devices require APNs to be configured on the portal. You may also define the Configurator Enrollment and Android ROM/OEM Enrollment settings if you’re opting for these enrollment methods. Make sure to configure the required enrollment settings before onboarding devices in Hexnode.
Apart from the basic configurations, there are many other settings like Geofencing, Notifications, General Settings that may be configured based on your organizations’ requirements.
