How to change the ownership of a device?
Device ownership classifies a device as either personal or corporate. A Personal device is owned by an individual and is used for both personal and corporate purposes. A Corporate device is provided by an organization for work-related purposes. These devices are more restrictive compared to a personal device.
In an organization where both corporate and personal devices are managed, an awareness of the ownership type makes it easier for an admin to deploy the appropriate policies for the respective devices.
Hexnode UEM facilitates this awareness/differentiation of device ownership by marking a device as either Corporate or Personal. The ownership type can either be pre-configured or be assigned by the user during enrollment. In Hexnode UEM, the default ownership configured is Corporate, except in the case of a profile owner enrolled device.
With Hexnode UEM, you can change the ownership type even after enrollment.
