How to Remotely Restart a Device?
Certain instances may demand organizations to restart their deployed devices remotely. A remote restart action may be particularly useful in situations when there’s a pending reboot action, but the user isn’t available to do it. In addition, restarting may be necessary for troubleshooting or for testing. This article describes how to remotely restart a device using Hexnode UEM.
With the help of Hexnode’s remote management capabilities, IT administrators can restart their managed Android, iOS, macOS, tvOS, ChromeOS, Windows and Linux devices over-the-air using the MDM console. The admin can seamlessly perform remote actions on individual devices or in bulk. Note that the user will not be notified about this restart action so any work which the user is on will be lost.
