I tried to install the Zoom client app on Windows. It shows success in Action History and the app is listed under applications, but the application is not available on the device. What could be the issue, and how to fix it?

Hey @roosevelt, thank you for reaching out to us.

This issue could have arisen due to numerous reasons. Please answer a few questions for us so that we may identify the specific issue and help you better.

  1. Where was the file downloaded from?
  2. Was the extension of the downloaded file .exe or .msi?
  3. Can you please check if the application is present on the device? You can find the list of Applications on your device under Settings > Apps or Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Looking forward to your response,

Thank you @roosevelt for your response.

The issue might have occurred while the file was being converted from EXE to MSI format. To rectify the issue, we suggest that you use the official MSI installer file provided by Zoom for IT admins instead.

To download and install Zoom client app, follow the steps provided below.

  1. Go to Zoom’s download center for Windows.
  2. Navigate to the dropdown labeled Download for IT Admin.
  3. And click on Download MSI for Zoom Client for Meetings to download the MSI installer file.
Download Zoom MSI installer file for Windows
  4. Once the download is completed, add the MSI file as an enterprise app on Hexnode.
  5. You can install the application on your devices using the Mandatory Apps policy or Install Application command after the app has been successfully uploaded to Hexnode.

Hope this helps!
