Whitelist specific chrome extensionsSolved

Hi community! Installing chrome extensions has become frequent on our managed devices. While most extensions seem legit, there are a few that could be malicious. To avoid any probable risks, we want to allow only a few extensions while the rest must remain blocked. Is there any way I can implement it through Hexnode?

Hi @remy-parker , thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Community! We understand your requirement, and we have a script in the Hexnode script repository that helps with managing Google Chrome extensions on Windows devices.

Using the script to block extensions, users will be prevented from installing any of the specified extensions. If these extensions are already installed, they will be blocked, and users will be restricted from enabling them. The document also includes a script to whitelist specific Chrome extensions, blocking all others not listed. Check it out and let us know how it works for you! You can also additionally add and remove an extension from the device through a script using Hexnode.

Feel free to reach out for any more assistance.

Best regards,
