Yes, you heard it right! VPN settings will no longer be exclusive to Knox devices. Hexnode is stepping up its game to bring VPN settings to non-Knox Android devices as well. Your users can securely access public networks while protecting their data on devices enrolled in the Android Enterprise program as Device Owner or Profile Owner, regardless of the Android device type.
With this update, you will be able to configure and deploy VPN profiles to Android devices using app configurations, as well as set up VPN settings through the VPN policy. The new features will include the ability to keep VPN always ON, enforce a VPN lockdown that forces all device connections through the VPN, and a bypass lockdown option that lets you specify apps that don’t require the VPN.
