Unable to turn off Lockdown Mode in MacSolved

Hi,

Recently, I manually enabled Lockdown Mode (from System Settings > Privacy & Security) for a macOS device enrolled in our organization’s Hexnode portal. But since then, I’ve not been able to switch off the mode as the ‘Turn Off’ button has greyed out. This remained the case even after removing all the Hexnode policies from the device. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thanks

Hey @timothy, Thanks for posting.

This issue has nothing to do with Hexnode, as Lockdown Mode is not a configurable option for the UEM. You may be encountering this issue because you’re logged in to the macOS device as a standard user. The ‘Turn Off’ option will be available if you log in to the device with device administrator credentials.

Hope we’ve given you a satisfying solution. Feel free to reach out for further queries.
