The deployment gets failed and I am getting the error ‘Invalid profile: A payload in the profile is missing the “PayloadUUID” key’ when trying to deploy a custom configuration profile. Can someone help me out with resolving this.

Seems like you may have missed to add the <key>PayloadUUID</key> in the payload content. Adding that should work.
