Hi, I want to apply certain policies at specific times, like enforcing VPN connection on Android devices during work hours. Is there any way to schedule policies for execution at specific times or days?

Scheduled policy execution for AndroidSolved

Thanks @bram for reaching out, your concern can be resolved by incorporating Hexnode’s Deployment feature.
The Deployment feature enables admins to deploy a file, certificate, or an update to a group of devices. By setting up predefined schedules, admins can apply different policies—such as app restrictions, network settings, etc., during work hours or specific time frames. You can create a Dynamic Device Group which includes the devices you want to manage. Then create a policy with your required restriction/necessity.
To create a policy, follow the steps below:
-
- Go to Policies > New Policy.
- Add the Policy Name and Description.
- Navigate Android and configure the required restrictions.
- Click on Save to save the policy.
To execute the created policy to the devices:
-
- Go to Deploy > New Deployment > Android.
- Add Name and Description and click Next.
- Click on Associate Policy, select the policy to be applied and click OK > Next.
- Select the Time option under Trigger.
- Under Initiate select Once for applying the policy on a particular day or Repeat at a set schedule for applying the policy repeatedly.
- Set the schedule by entering the Schedule Date/Day and Schedule Time and click on Next.
- From Target Filters click on Add Groups under the Included groups filter and select the device groups to be added. If you want to exclude any group, click on Add Groups under the Excluded groups filter. Additionally, if you want to add filters, click on +New Filter under Filters.
- Click on Next and go through the Review.
- Click on Save to save the deployment.
