Hey everyone, as the title says, I’m looking for a way to disable or hide the Phone app on iPhones using Hexnode. I tried blocklisting the app through the blocklist/allowlist policies, but it didn’t hide the app on the devices. If this is a common issue, I’d appreciate guidance on how to resolve it.
Removing Phone app in iPhonesSolved

Hey @timo-liam , unfortunately Apple does not allow the disabling or removal of the Phone app from iPhones as it is a system app. While the Blocklist/Allowlist feature in Hexnode can hide most system apps on the device, the Phone and Settings apps are exceptions and cannot be hidden or blocklisted.
Oh, alright! Thanks for the input.
@kylian_parker , what about using multi app kiosk lockdown? Is it possible to hide the Phone app with that method?
No, @Raelynn , even with kiosk lockdown, the Phone app cannot be hidden for the same reason mentioned earlier. The Phone app will be added by default in the Multi App Kiosk Lockdown mode even if you have not added it in the app list.
Thanks for the heads-up!
@kylian_parker , can the setting Remove system apps in advanced restrictions be used to remove the system apps like the Phone app?
@skylar..a , yes, by enabling the option Remove system apps under Advanced Restrictions, the system apps will be removed from supervised iOS devices. But unfortunately, as in the cases mentioned above, the Phone and Settings app are exempted from the system apps that can be removed by this restriction.
Here’s the list of system apps that you can remove from the device: Calculator, Calendar, Compass, Contacts, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Home, iBooks, iCloud Drive, iTunes Store, Mail, Maps, Music, News, Notes, Podcasts, Reminders, Stocks, Tips, Videos or TV, Voice Memos, Watch app, and Weather.
