Hi,
We want to remotely install few apps from app store on some of our employee devices… Is there a way we could do this without any manual intervention from their end?

Hey, @viviana. Thank you for reaching out to us.
Yes, we’ve got exactly what you’re looking for! You can easily achieve this with Hexnode’s silent app installation feature.
Make sure you have enrolled the devices in supervised mode to silently install apps without any user intervention. Once the devices are enrolled in supervised mode, there are two ways you could deploy apps from the Hexnode portal:
1) Install Application from Remote actions.
2) Install apps via Mandatory Apps Policy.
Either way, the apps will be installed on the devices without any prompts. Check out our help doc on silent app installation on iOS for more details.
Hope that answers you query.

Thanks for the quick response! Can we also prevent any employee from manually uninstalling the application after it has been pushed to the device?
Yes, you can @viviana. We have a policy setting that does exactly this!
Navigate to Policies > iOS > Advanced Restrictions > Allow App Settings and uncheck the option Remove apps to prevent users from manually uninstalling applications on their devices. Please note that this option is available only for supervised iOS 4.2.1+ devices.
Moreover, you can also configure the Compliance Settings from the Admin tab so that the device will be marked as non-compliant if any mandatory apps are missing from it. You can even set up a notification alert when a device goes out of compliance (Admin > Notifications).

can we also deploy custom company apps this way
Thank you for reaching out to us, @harlow.
Yes, you can easily deploy both custom-made enterprise apps and store apps to supervised iOS devices using Hexnode without prompting the end-user.
You are required to add the enterprise apps to the Hexnode app inventory before pushing them to the devices. Check out the help doc on Enterprise app distribution for more info.
Let us know if you have any further queries. We’d be happy to help.
Cheers!
