Hey there,
Is there any way to prevent cross-site tracking on Safari for our macOS devices? We don’t want any third-party trackers following our online activity across different websites.

Hey @emersyn,
We had the same requirement and looked into ways to disable it completely. While you can manually disable it from Safari settings, I couldn’t find a way to do it using configuration profiles or any other method.
Actually, there is a workaround. We had a similar requirement where we needed cross-site tracking prevention for most websites but allowed it for certain domains. You can specify up to 10 domains where cross-site tracking will be relaxed, while it remains enabled for all others. It’s not a complete disablement, but it gets the job done.
That sounds useful—at least it ensures that only the specified domains will have cross-site tracking enabled. By the way, can this be configured using a configuration profile?
Yes, it can be done. If you’re using Hexnode, you can configure it directly using the Managed Domains policy.
Oh, that’s great! That means I don’t have to go through the trouble of creating a configuration profile myself. How do I do it in Hexnode?
Sure! It’s pretty simple:
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it.
