Option to access recent apps in Multi App kioskSolved

Hello,

Our sales reps use Android tabs during on-site travels to pull up urgent info. They mainly run our enterprise apps for stats and agreements, plus an app to share meeting feedback with the team. These tabs are locked in Multi-App Kiosk mode. Here’s the catch: we can’t access recent apps, and that’s a hassle when switching between apps. We couldn’t spot any setting under Multi-App Kiosk to tweak the navigation buttons. Got any solutions for this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect. We understand your requirement to enable the recent apps feature on Android devices in Multi-App Kiosk mode. This can be achieved using the Peripheral Settings for Android.

To configure this:

  1. Navigate to Multi-App Kiosk in your Hexnode console.
  2. Select Peripheral Settings under Android Kiosk Lockdown and click Configure.
  3. Under Hardware/Software Buttons, enable the Recent Apps Button option.

This setting will activate the recent apps button, allowing seamless navigation between multiple apps configured in Multi-App Kiosk mode.

If you have any further questions or require assistance, please feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help.

Best regards,
George

Hey George,

We’ve got a bunch of Samsung devices locked down in kiosk mode and we’re looking to configure a few settings:
First up is brightness – we need to control that. I actually found this one under the peripheral settings you suggested previously, in the display section. So, one thing’s checked off.
Next up, device fonts – specifically, the style and size. I couldn’t find this option anywhere.
Can you look into this and maybe try adding it to the peripheral settings? It would be super helpful.
Much appreciated, man.

Hello Bram,

Thank you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

We understand your requirement to manage device fonts on Samsung devices. Unfortunately, the option to configure device fonts cannot be added to the peripheral settings. However, I have a perfect solution for you.

Hexnode has introduced a Fonts feature for Android under the Policies tab, which allows you to manage font style and size for Samsung Knox devices.

Please refer to our help documentation for further details on this feature.

Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d be happy to help.

Best regards,
George
