Offboarding usersSolved

Hi,

We have many remote employees. Is there a template or workflow to support user offboarding?

What happens with the users’ devices if our users are synced from Okta and are deactivated in Okta?

Thank you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect. I understand your requirement for a workflow to offboard employees in your organization.

If your organization is using Hexnode UEM, we would like to offer you a workflow for user offboarding. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Hexnode UEM console.
  2. Navigate to Manage > Users and select the respective user you are offboarding.
  3. Under the Devices section, identify all corporate and personal devices.
  4. On all personal devices, ensure that your corporate data is wiped first (for BYO devices). Then, use the remote action Disenroll Device to disenroll the devices.
  5. For all corporate devices, once you have retrieved the devices, based on the organizational requirements, you can choose to:
    1. Reassign the device to a new user.
    2. Perform a complete wipe, if necessary.

After a wipe, you can re-enroll the device to a new user.

  6. Once device reassignment is completed, go to the Okta portal integrated and synced with your Hexnode console, and suspend or deactivate the user.
  7. After deactivating or suspending the user in the Okta portal, the user will be deleted from the Hexnode console upon syncing.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out if you have any queries or need assistance. We are happy to help.

Best regards,
George

Thank you.

I will investigate how to automate it.
