We’re excited to announce a few new additions to the Password policies for Android devices, offering IT admins more control over password complexity criteria. With the ability to set complexity levels from Low to High, admins can customize password requirements to align with each device’s specific purpose.

For instance, a device designated as a common test device within the organization might require only a simple password. Conversely, a device that handles sensitive company data will require a complex and highly secure password. Being able to adjust the complexity of passwords will also help IT admins to follow compliance regulations set by the organization.

These new additions will undoubtedly enhance the security and privacy of your devices. However, it’s important to note that these configurations are Android version dependent. For a detailed explanation of each configuration, please refer to our help documents on the Password policy for standard Android devices as well as the devices enrolled in the Android Enterprise program.

Best regards,
