Hi, does configuring Windows Update preferences through the Windows Update Experience update the .NET framework on the device, or is it necessary to manage .NET updates separately?

@raelynn , within the configurations of the Windows Update Experience feature, there is an option-Microsoft App Update Service– which, when enabled, allows updates for other Microsoft products to be delivered through Microsoft Update Services.
When you enable this option, the .NET framework updates will also be handled on Windows devices, along with other Microsoft apps and services.
Here’s how you do it:
- Log in to your Hexnode UEM portal.
- Navigate to Policies > New Policy or select an existing policy.
- Then go to, Windows > Windows Update Experience and click Configure.
- Select the option Microsoft Update Service and configure the other settings.
- Go to Policy Targets and click +Add devices to choose the specific devices for this policy. You can also associate it with device groups, users, user groups, or domains.
- Finally, click on Save to apply the policy.
Here is the list of other Microsoft products that might be updated:
-
-
- Active Directory Rights Management Service
- AppFabric
- Azure File Sync
- Bing Bar
- Bing IME
- BizTalk
- East Asia IME for Windows Content
