Mobile Users not created via AD Asset Binding on MacSolved

Hi,

I’ve been having an issue with Hexnode’s AD Asset Binding Policy on my Mac. The policy is supposed to create a mobile user account, instead it’s creating a network user account. I’m not sure what’s causing this or how to fix it. Could you provide some info on how to resolve this?

Hi @John,

I followed the steps you suggested, and the issue seems to be resolved. The mobile user account is now being created as it should. It must have been a random occurrence, as it’s not happening on any of the other devices. Thank you for your help!

Hello @Dylan,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. To help us troubleshoot, could you please try the following steps:

  1. Re-associate the AD Asset Binding policy to your Mac.
  2. Restart your device.
  3. Check if the issue repeats.
  4. Check if this issue is happening with other users on the device.

Please let us know the outcome of these steps. If the issue persists, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
