You can now set macOS apps to be mandatorily installed on devices. Defining apps as mandatory enables admin to ensure that all the essential apps are compulsorily installed on devices without user intervention.

Thanks and regards

What would happen if a mandatory app is missing from the device?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

If a mandatory app is missing from a device, the device can be marked as non-compliant. Navigate to Admin-> General Settings-> Compliance Settings. If the option ‘Device is not application compliant’ is enabled and the settings are saved, the device will be marked as non-compliant if any of the mandatory app is not found in the device.

For more info, check out our help doc on configuring compliance settings.

Cheers!
