Hey guys, I was trying to configure LDAP server in my mac devices but there seems to be an error. I cant sync the contacts from AD even though the LDAP policy has been associated to the devices.. Anyone faced a similar issue?

Can you check whether the LDAP account has been added in your device? Check if the added LDAP account is present inside the Internet Account in System Preferences.
I did check inside Privacy Preferences -> Internet accounts… The LDAP account is present there. Could it be caused due to some server issue? Any idea?
Hey Jameson,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
It looks like there has been an error in the LDAP configuration inside the policy. If the configuration entered inside the LDAP policy is incorrect, the device will not be able to connect to the LDAP server. You need to ensure that the following LDAP configurations are entered correctly inside the policy:
- Account Description [optional] – Enter a name/description to identify multiple LDAP accounts.
- User Name – Enter the email address of the LDAP account.
- Password – Enter the password associated with the LDAP account.
- Host Name – Enter the IP address or the host name of the LDAP server.
- SSL [optional] – Enable SSL if an encrypted connection is required between the LDAP server and the device.
Once you have ensured that the above configurations are entered correctly, you can associate the policy with the device. If the issue still persists, you can reach out back to us and we will be more than happy to help you out!
Hope this answers your query.
Cheers!
