Is it possible to restrict O365 to managed devices?Solved

Hi,

Now that we’ve rolled out Hexnode to our mobile devices and BYOD devices, is it possible to prevent users from accessing O365 (Especially Outlook) from other devices?

I’ve seen some very powerful (ie complex!) options using Conditional Access but there doesn’t seem to be an option for “Has MDM installed”.

Has anyone else crossed this bridge?

Thanks!

Hi Fred,

Hope you are doing well,

Once you have enrolled a device to Hexnode, you would be able to manage the device and the device configurations. For the devices that are not enrolled to Hexnode, you would be unable to control or limit their access to particular apps. In order to restrict the access of users to their O365, the configuration for doing so would have to be done by the app rather than the MDM.

By making use of the conditional access provided by Office 365, you would have options to restrict access to particular devices that make use of the Azure domain to log in. We currently offer the integration with Azure AD, however, integration with Office 365 is yet to be done. Various rules that are provided by Office 365 could also be used, however, to have this enforced with Hexnode, an integration of Hexnode with O365 would be required. We shall have this raised as a feature request on your behalf and loop you in with the updates.

We sincerely hope you and your loved ones take care and stay safe. Have a great day.
