Apple has introduced their very own built-in relay system as an alternative to VPN, and we are excited to announce that Hexnode will now support network relays on iOS devices.

What are network relays?

Network relays are modern proxy solutions, developed by Apple as an alternative to traditional VPNs. Unlike VPNs, these built-in relay systems rely on HTTP tunneling for securing internet traffic and facilitate secure and remote access to organizational resources. This helps in optimizing network performance by reducing session negotiation complexities and minimizing round-trip delays.

What can you expect from Hexnode’s network relays?

With Hexnode UEM, you can effortlessly apply policies to configure network relays remotely. This includes setting up the relay servers as well as the public keys used to establish a connection with the device. And with features like Match domains and Exclusion domains, you can specify the domains that need to be routed through or be bypassed by the relay server.
