Looking to gain greater control over the Hexnode UEM application? We’ve got you covered! Introducing the new Hexnode App UI feature under Policy > Customizations for both macOS and iOS, empowering admins to determine which settings users can access on their devices. This ensures a finely tuned and secure user experience, prioritizing both functionality and organizational security needs.

How to Get Started?

Navigate to Policies > iOS/macOS > Customizations > Hexnode App UI and start defining the settings users can access.

What’s New?

For macOS:

  • Enrollment Summary: Choose whether users can view their enrollment details.
  • Device Overview: Enable or disable access to the device’s overview page.
  • App Catalog:
    • Allow app installation: Permit users to install apps directly from the catalog.
    • Allow app update: Manage users’ permission to update installed apps.
  • Messages:
    • Show message notification: Disable notifications for messages.
    • Message history: Control whether users can view past messages.
  • Send location: Manage the user’s ability to send the device’s location.
  • Send logs: Manage users’ permission to send diagnostic logs for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Language: Set the display language for the Hexnode UEM app or let the users choose.

For iOS:

  • Compliance details: Enable users to view their compliance status directly in the app.
  • Send location: Manage the users’ ability to send the device’s location.
  • Maps: Allow or restrict access to location maps within the app.
  • Messages:
    • Customize options such as displaying notifications, deleting, pinning, starring and searching messages.
  • App Catalog:
    • Allow app installation: Grant users the ability to install apps from the catalog.
    • Hide installed apps: Prevent users from seeing installed apps in the catalog.
  • Logs:
    • Send App Logs: Permit users to send diagnostic logs.
    • Download App Logs: Allow users to download logs for local review.
    • Send Logs Periodically: Automate log submissions for continuous monitoring.
  • Language: Set the display language for the Hexnode UEM app or let the users choose.
