Hi, I have a set of iOS devices and I want to push a set of store apps to these devices without having to type in the Apple ID password for every single app. Is there a work around for this?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.
You can deploy these apps to the devices as VPP apps.
For supervised iOS devices, the silent installation will happen when the apps are pushed as VPP purchased apps. The required number of licenses should be purchased through the Volume Purchase Program before the Apps are pushed to the devices.
Please use the help link to know about deploying the Apple VPP apps with Hexnode MDM.

Just to clarify, is the store apps not getting installed on supervised iphone because there is no Apple ID on the device? If I log in to itunes with apple id, will apps silently install?
Hello ViViana,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Even if an iTunes account is associated with the device, apps might not install silently. For silent app installation:
- Deploy a policy with the restriction “Force user to enter iTunes store password for each purchase” disabled. Also, ensure that the restrictions, “iTunes Store” and “Show App Store on the device” are enabled. You can find these restrictions under Policies > New Policy > iOS > Restrictions in the Hexnode portal.
- Make sure that the device does not have any content restrictions in place.
For silent installation of free apps without Apple ID,
- Open the Settings app on the device and click on your account name.
- Click on Media and Purchases > Password Settings. Disable the setting, Require Password under Free Downloads.
Refer to our detailed help document on the silent installation of iOS apps to know more.
Cheers!!

Will store apps get updated automatically?
Hello Harlow,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Store apps will get updated silently on supervised devices if they are deployed via a Mandatory app policy. Check out our detailed help doc on updating apps.
