Hi all, I want to prevent a particular app version from being installed on the managed Android phones. I need to ensure that only a particular app version that is fully compatible with our configuration is installed. Is this possible?
How to prevent an application from installing based on its version?Solved

Hi, @douglas ! Thank you for reaching out to us.
I understand your concern, but unfortunately, Hexnode currently doesn’t have a built-in feature to prevent a specific version of the app from being installed. However, for Enterprise apps, you can deploy the intended version of the app via Hexnode UEM. If you’d like, I can guide you through the steps.
Let us know if you want further assistance!

@isabel_lora Hi, thanks for your response. Could you please guide me through the steps to manage the installation of enterprise apps?
Sure @douglas . Follow these steps to upload a specific version of your enterprise app to Hexnode’s app repository and install it in on your managed Android devices:
- Login to Hexnode UEM portal.
- Navigate Apps > +Add apps > Enterprise app. Here you can upload the required version of the application.
- Go to Policies > New policy > Android > App Management > Required Apps.
- Click on +Add > Enterprise App and select the uploaded app. You can also add other apps/app groups according to your requirements.
- Save the policy to the targeted devices.

Thank you, @isabel_lora , for your response. So, if we want to install any other versions, would it require the IT admin to push it from the portal?
Yes, @douglas . The IT admin would have to upload the required version of the app and install them using the steps mentioned above.
