How to keep track of device restartsSolved

Hi, I’ve been using Hexnode for a while and it has been really convenient to keep track of all our devices and the various actions taking place in ‘em. But I’d also like to keep track of when and how often the devices restart. Is there a report available for the same? Or any way I can maintain a record of my devices’ restarts?

Hello user, welcome to Hexnode Community!

We’re glad you’re finding Hexnode useful. We currently do not have a report that records the device’s restart history. Although, you can make use of our Execute Custom Script feature for macOS and Windows devices to view the restart history of the respective device.

For macOS devices, execute the following script:

It shows a log of all device restarts since when the logbook was created.

You can view the output under the Action History tab of the device.

Output of script to view Mac’s restart log

For Windows devices, execute the following script:

This script lists the restarts within the most recent 30000 system records.

Output:

Output of script to view device restart history

I hope this helps with your query.
