How to disable the web app kiosk configured with Hexnode Browser lite?Solved

Hi,

We have configured some of our iOS and iPadOS devices to use web app kiosks with Hexnode Browser Lite. I need assistance with exiting the web kiosk policy that has been set up using Hexnode Browser Lite. Any methods you can provide for disabling the web kiosk would be greatly appreciated.

To manually exit the web app kiosk mode, click the vertical ellipsis button in the top right corner of the screen. Then, select the “Exit Kiosk” option and enter either the global or local exit passcode to exit the kiosk mode. To configure the kiosk exit passcode follow the below steps,

Log in to your Hexnode UEM portal.
Navigate to Policies > New Policy. Go to Kiosk Lockdown > iOS Kiosk Lockdown > Advanced Website Kiosk Settings.
Click on Configure.
Under Kiosk Exit Settings, check the option Manually exit kiosk mode.
The Kiosk exit passcode field will be pre-filled with the Global Exit Passcode. You can either use this Global Exit Passcode or change it to a new passcode as needed.
Proceed to Policy Targets and select Devices, Device Groups, Users, User Groups, or Domains.
Click on Save.

Hello @Dylan,

Thanks for reaching out. We have a quite few methods on how to disable the web app kiosk. Below methods describe how to disable the kiosk mode from the portal.

Method 1:

To disable kiosk mode from using remote actions,

Login to your Hexnode UEM portal and navigate to the Manage tab.
Select the device which you want to disable kiosk mode.
Click on the Actions button and select Disable Kiosk Mode from the drop-down menu.

Method 2:

To remove an iOS or iPadOS device from web app kiosk policy,

Login to your Hexnode UEM portal and navigate to the Manage tab.
Go to the Policies tab and select the web app kiosk policy applied to the device.
Go to Policy Targets and click on remove to remove the web app kiosk policy associated with the device and Save the policy.

You can try any of the above methods to disable web kiosk configured with Hexnode Browser lite.
