Logging into multiple applications and services daily with different credentials can be a hassle. Forgetting passwords and resetting them has become a norm. That’s where Single Sign-On (SSO) comes to the rescue. Hexnode is excited to introduce a new feature, Extensible SSO, which lives up to its name by extending SSO capabilities to a broader range of apps and services, even those without built-in native SSO support. With Extensible SSO, both native and third-party managed apps can now fully participate in the SSO experience.

The Extensible SSO feature is available for both iOS (13+) and macOS (10.15+). To configure it in the Hexnode UEM console, go to Policies > iOS/macOS > Security > Extensible SSO. From there, you can set up options, such as selecting the type of SSO extension, specifying apps to block from using SSO, and defining authentication behavior when the device is locked, among others.

These settings allow IT admins to customize SSO functionality to meet organizational needs precisely.

For a comprehensive guide on configuring Extensible SSO and exploring all available options, check out our help documentation.
