As we put Hexcon24 behind us, we are super excited to say, once again, that Hexnode UEM is extending support to not one, not two, but three different OS platforms, including visionOS. As the enterprise landscape grows to accommodate more and more device types, we hope that this update will make device management just a tad bit easier by providing a single solution for all your device management requirements.
What to expect with this update
- Device Enrollment: You can enroll company-owned or personally owned Vision Pro devices to Hexnode UEM using a work account. To get started, head over to Enroll > Platform Specific > VisionOS > Account Driven Enrollment. And based on your requirements, you can choose between open and authenticated modes for enrolling your devices.
- Device Details, Dashboard and Reports: The Dashboard and Reports tabs have been updated to accommodate the addition of visionOS. You can now view a breakdown of the device usage from the dashboard and detailed summary and device details from the Manage tab. You can also generate reports that include your Apple Vision Pro devices from the Reports tab.
- Remote Actions: Execute remote actions to quickly manage your devices. Like other platforms, you can initiate actions to scan for device and device location, wipe the device, install or uninstall applications, disenroll the device, and associate policies. You can also send messages using broadcast messaging as well as change the owner and modify device attributes.
- App Management and Restrictions: Remotely deploy and manage enterprise and VPP applications as well as impose device restrictions for securely managing your Vision Pro devices.
- Network and Security: Set up Wi-Fi networks to automatically connect to and secure the network traffic using VPN settings, as well as manage certificates and impose certificate-based authentication.
With the addition of visionOS support, we hope to provide a comprehensive device management solution for all devices within an organization. But be warned that the rollout might take a while to reach your portal. And if you have any suggestions or feedback, you can send us an email at support@hexnode.com or ping us here at Hexnode Connect.
Stay tuned!
