Hexnode UEM now enables IT admins to deploy EXE and MSIX applications through the Required Apps policy, allowing seamless installation and management of essential Windows apps. Not just that, IT admins can also configure success criteria to validate app installation and specify uninstallation settings.

What’s New?

  • EXE and MSIX in Required Apps policy – Admins can now add EXE and MSIX apps as required applications, ensuring automatic installation and enforcement.
  • Success Criteria for EXE and MSIX – Determine the successful installation of an app by specifying app identifiers, registry paths, and app paths to confirm whether an app is correctly installed.
  • Uninstallation Settings – Specify the app identifier or file path of the apps to verify their removal from the device when the Required Apps policy is removed. Include any additional uninstallation commands if necessary.

You can also specify success criteria and uninstallation settings when adding apps to the Hexnode App inventory. For more details, please refer to our documentation on the Required Apps policy and adding enterprise apps to Hexnode App Inventory.
