Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

There are a number of reasons because of which the Enterprise app updation using an APK file can go wrong:

  1. If the version code and name of the updated app is similar to the previous one: Please ensure that the app version name and version code is higher than the previous version.
  2. If the app installation from unknown sources have been blocked. Please navigate to Android-> Advanced Restrictions-> Allow App Settings in the associated policy and confirm that the ‘Install apps from unknown sources’ option is enabled.
  3. If the device does not support silent app installation, a wrench icon will appear on the app icon. You can tap on the icon to install the app manually.
  4. If the app does not get installed for so long and the icon is shown incomplete, indicating that the installation is still pending: This might be due to weak network connection, app taking more time to install due to bigger size, or the app is not listed under the Hexnode folder on your device.
