Hi there,

There are some Samsung devices enrolled with a Work Profile, and we are having issues enabling system apps. We’ve checked, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do this from the settings. Can anyone guide me on how to enable system apps?

Hello @cameron ,

Thanks for reaching out. Currently, we can install system apps using Hexnode for devices enrolled in the Android Enterprise program as profile owners. The system apps include Calendar, Camera, Gallery, Clock, and Samsung Messages. Follow the steps below to install system apps:

  1. Login to your Hexnode UEM portal.
  2. Navigate Apps tab, and click on +Add Apps, select Store App.
  3. Search for the System app and add it to the Hexnode inventory.

There are two ways of installing system apps for the work profiles profile owner devices, one is using the Required apps policy and Install Application remote action.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact us in case of any further queries.

Thanks for the information. Is there any way to enable system apps when enrolling the device with a Work Profile or COPE?
