Disenrolling device and Mark as disenroll actionSolved

When a disenroll action is initiated, sometimes the device gets removed instantly from the portal. However, in certain cases, we need to manually remove the devices using Mark as Disenroll action. Why does that happen so?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

For the disenrollment action to get completed on a device, the device has to be connected to a network. If it is not, the device might not be completely removed from the MDM control and the device entry might not get removed from the device list under the Manage tab. In such cases, the ‘Mark as disenrolled’ option is used.

Hope this helps!

Cheers!

Is it possible to send an alert to admin when the disenroll action is initiated on a device? This might help if it has been accidentally done.

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes, the admin can be notified via email when the disenroll action is initiated on a device:

  • Navigate to Admin-> Notifications-> Notify the administrators on.
  • Check Disenroll device action initiated on device.
  • Click Save.

Please check out our help doc on setting up notification alerts for more info.

Cheers!
