Hey, we use outlook as our official email app for our organization, and we were wondering if there’s a way to disable screen capture on iPhones. We don’t want our employees to take screenshots of any sensitive information from emails.

Hey, you’re using Hexnode, right? You can easily disable screen capture using the basic restriction settings available in hexnode.

Sorry, I should have explained our requirement better. We actually tried that, but we only want to disable screen capture while using the outlook app. Outside of it, it’s fine.

I’m not entirely sure about outlook. Maybe using App configuration with a custom XML file, it might be possible, but I’m not certain.

That said, we use the Hexnode Email app as our official email client. It has built-in options to disable screen capture specifically within the app.

Oh, creating a custom Xml file sounds like a hassle. But tell me more about the hexnode email app—what other customizations does it offer? If it provides that level of flexibility without much effort, it could be a great alternative for our organization.

It works just like a regular email app. You can prevent users from deleting emails, disable sharing of images, and more. Rather than explaining everything here, I’ll share the documentation—it covers all the details: https://www.hexnode.com/mobile-device-management/help/how-to-setup-hexnode-email-app-for-ios-devices/

Thanks a lot! I went through the doc, and it seems to meet most of our requirements. We’re now seriously considering switching to the Hexnode email app.
