Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

For Android devices, you can configure the screen orientation of web apps that opens in Hexnode Browser lite. Please follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to Policies tab and click on the Kiosk policy.
  2. Navigate to Kiosk Lockdown-> Android Kiosk Lockdown-> Advanced Website Kiosk Settings-> Appearance.
  3. Click on the drop-down list next to the Screen orientation option. You will have the following options to choose from: As per device settings/Landscape left/Portrait/Landscape right/Invert.
  4. Confirm the policy targets and click Save.

Cheers!

Will this work for Android, if the devices are outside kiosk?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

The above method is for configuring screen orientation on Android devices locked down to kiosk mode.
For configuring the Screen orientation of devices that are not in Kiosk mode:

  • Navigate to Policies-> Android-> Restrictions and click on the drop-down list next to the option Screen Orientation.
  • You will have the following options to choose from: User can choose, Auto-rotate, Portrait, Left, Right and Invert. Make a choice based on your requirements
  • Associate targets and save the policy.

The feature is supported on Standard Android, Samsung Knox, LG GATE, Kyocera business phones and devices enrolled in Android Enterprise as Device Owner.

Cheers!
