While pushing a blacklist policy for the finder app, the macOS device shows infinite blocked-access pop-ups. What am I doing wrong here?

Infinite? did you try to blacklist any other app?

So far I’ve tried it on Spotify and Photos but they have been blacklisted. Im not sure why it showed this error for finder. Was there any error while applying the policy?

It’s unlikely that you’d get an error while applying a policy. I haven’t come across a policy error yet

Hey @carlisle234 and @griffith,

Thanks for reaching out! This is an error that other customers have experienced before, and it’s actually due to the app itself. On macOS, system apps like Finder, Siri, etc., relaunch themselves every time they’re closed and will always remain open. Due to this, blacklisting such apps generates infinite blocked-access pop-ups, as they try to remain open. This is a rare exception that occurs only when you attempt to blacklist system apps like these.

I hope this answers your question. Please do reach out to us if you have any further queries.

Cheers!
