Android phone with Hexnode MDM agent on it – remove from MDMSolved

I’d wlike to remove the Hexnode MDM agent on an old work phone. The company Hexnode account no longer exists and neither does the company itself. I have the device and I want to reset it to give to someone else, however there’s no way to remove the Hexnode agent. I have tried to boot to menu and factory reset and also to factory reset via Find My Phone, however neither route works. How can I deregister this device from a dead Hexnode account?

Hi! Thank you for reaching out!

Enrolled devices should automatically be disenrolled from Hexnode when the associated Hexnode portal expires. However, in this case, the Hexnode For Work app still appears to remain an admin app, even though disenrollment has been initiated.

@ben_clarke A week later, still no help from anyone – any update on this please? I have to send this device off to someone else to use but at the moment it’s unusable because of Hexnode. I also have a Galaxy Tab in the same state. That’s not a good look for either of us, but as a CTO I know which device manager I will most likely not be choosing for future enterprise device management.
