i have just set up the DEP for enrolling my iOS devices. It is a relief that the new apple devices gets automatically enrolled when it first starts. What are the instructions or steps for Androids equivalent to Apple DEP?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

The out-of-box enrollment methods enables you to enroll Android devices, without manually configuring each of them. The end users will have to just power on the devices and connect to a network to enroll in MDM.

To configure the Android Zero Touch Enrollment:

  1. Associate a Google account with your corporate email to set up the Zero touch portal.
  2. Set up the Zero Touch Enrollment portal.
  3. Add the MDM configuration.
  4. Apply the MDM configuration to the devices.

The Android Zero Touch Enrollment is possible only in the case of compatible devices running Android Oreo (8.0 and later) or Pixel phone with Android Nougat (7.0).
The ZTE do not work on Samsung devices. You can use Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment to enroll such devices.

To enroll and configure devices in the KME:

  1. Create an MDM profile.
  2. Add devices to your portal.
  3. Configure and assign devices to a profile.

Cheers!
