Alert users before system restartsSolved

Hey guys,
I’m a company manager and I have been assigned around 37 windows systems. And ocasionally we need to restart the system to clear out the ram. We usually do this once a week after office hours. But sometimes there might be people working after office hours. We don’t want to abruptly restart the device while they are working. So, we like to display a custom message saying the device is going to restat in some time. We’d also like to give them a brace period before shuting down the device.

Use the restart option. But I don’t think there is an option to provide a custom message.

Hey @_patricia_,
Welcome to the Hexnode community.

Use the Execute Custom Script action to deploy a Batch script that displays a custom message before the device restarts. This action can be executed on multiple endpoints simultaneously.

Replace <custom message> with the message to be displayed on the system as a popup before the device restarts. Provide the delay time in seconds by substituting <time delay> with an integer.

Hope that helps with your query.
Cheers!
