– User A is a Technical staff who builds and onboards device to Hexnod

– Device is handed over to an actual possible User B and may also be used by User C

– As a Device Manager I would like to see who was the last active user on this device, so that I can assign personal responsibility to someone else, but the original technician

Hey @Pavel,

Thank you so much for joining Hexnode Connect.

Yes, Hexnode can definitely help you achieve what you are looking for. All you need to do is run a custom script from your Hexnode portal.

Fortunately, we’ve added the script to get the login information of the last logged-in user on Windows to our script repository. So, please check out the script to get an idea on the same.

To deploy the above script to your target Windows machine, please navigate to Manage > select your Windows device > Actions > Execute Custom Script.

Once the script has been successfully executed, you can easily identify the last active user on the device. Please head on to the corresponding device details page from Manage > Devices. Now, from the Action History sub-tab of the device details page, you could obtain the output of the script by clicking on the Show Output button next to the Execute Custom Script action.

That’s it. You could easily fetch the last logged user on the device without requiring any sort of interaction from your end-users.

We look forward to hearing more from you. Have a great day!

Thanks!
