Hey Hexnode Community, I've got an enrolled device flagged as Non-Compliant, and I think the issue seems to be with one of the Required Apps policy I pushed out. The app is definitely installed on the device, so I'm confused about why the compliance check is failing. Does anyone know why this might be happening and what I can do to clear this compliance status?
Guys We’ve reached our device enrollment limit in Hexnode, and now we’re blocked from enrolling additional devices. What’s the best way to proceed here? Are there options to manage existing enrollments, so we can add new devices?
Hello everyone, I have few macOS devices enrolled in Hexnode, but it currently displays the default username. I’d like to update it to the real username. I can’t find any option to change the name.
End-state: I want to use the API to create a macOS update policy with the download only requirement and the preferences and deferal. But...I made a macOS update policy that included the scheduling so that I can see what the payload looks like to be able to create it through the API but I'm only…
Hey people, I’m trying to force install updates on some Macs. I’d used a policy for this with the update settings set to Download and Install and manually triggered the updates. But the devices remained on the current version, which is weird as in the Action history as I see the action status as Initiated. Anyone got any thoughts on how to fix this issue?
Hey everyone, We’ve got some scheduled maintenance coming up, and I need a way to send a message to all our managed devices, so users know what to expect. Ideally something quick that shows up on the device without us having to push a full policy. Is there a built-in way to send a message…
Hi guys, I’m trying to apply the Hexnode Access policy on a few Macs in our organization, but it keeps failing. I feel like I’m missing something obvious here. Any ideas what might be causing it?
Hey folks, Running into something odd. One of our macOS devices is now flagged non-compliant because SentinelOne refuses to install. Deployment keeps failing with error 1603, and after adding the SITE_TOKEN (twice… just in case), it still fails. Hexnode just says “missing required app,” SentinelOne says “1603,” and I’m somewhere in the middle staring at…
We’re stuck with a Mac that refuses to complete FileVault encryption. The device was enrolled through ABM, and encryption worked earlier, but now it just won’t finish. We’ve tried renewing profiles and reinstalling them from the terminal, but nothing seems to change. Also, wiping the device is not an option for us. Has anyone dealt…
To enforce a strong password policy only for standard local user accounts, while excluding administrator accounts from the same policy enforcement.
Hello Hexnode Team, It's been a pleasure to be Hexnode customer and I'm currently using Hexnode on a daily basis to manage our MacOS devices in our environment. I have been noticed that Microsoft has released a preview of platform SSO on MacOS for Intune & EntraID. I was wondering if Hexnode is having a…
Hello, It would be nice to have a policy to limit the number of registered devices for users. For example, I would only like to limit 1 macbook per user. This way the user is not able to register another device until we remove them as owner of their current device.
My company requires Office Macros are disabled. For Winodws and MacOS, this is not a built in setting in Hexnode policies. I cannot find any Powershell scripts or batch files to run and enable this setting. Can this be built in?
We use tools to allow local user to promote to admin for a short period of time (1h), they must provide reason and this action is sent to our SIEM for monitoring. We use : Privilege (https://github.com/SAP/macOS-enterprise-privileges) for macOS MakeMeAdmin (https://github.com/pseymour/MakeMeAdmin) for Windows Now that you added local users management on Hexnode, offering a similar…
Hello Hexnode peoples, We are hoping to get a feature request placed to have the ability to use custom scripts within policies to force the installation and configuration of applications. Our use cases revolve around the need to be able to force software for security and other tools be installed on all existing, and new…
I am interested in limiting file access to certain applications, for example a video file that can only be accessed by Adobe/etc, to limit the file from being copied, uploaded anywhere else.
The system is missing support for showing the computer name, hostname, and IP address. We would like it added to the “Device Info” tab. It would also be nice if we could revert a friendly name back to the actual computer name.So that it once again follows the user's changes to the name.
I have been a long-time user of Microsoft LAPS and would like to have similar functionality in Hexnode across different operating systems. Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) is a function that prevents using the same administrative passwords across different endpoints/devices. It regularly changes the passwords and enables management software to retrieve the correct password for…
Dear Team, A slack integration could be really useful for generating alerts. All alerts and notifications can be easily notified to a channel or an IT admin.Saves the time to check emails or Hexnode dashboard. Cheers Ceetus
