How does Autopilot actually work during setup?

Hey people, we’re planning to use Windows Autopilot, but I’m not fully clear on what happens when the user first turns on the device. Does it install anything or is it just enrollment?

Apple DEP not syncing. New devices just won’t enroll!

Policy to limit device assigned per user

Hello, It would be nice to have a policy to limit the number of registered devices for users. For example, I would only like to limit 1 macbook per user. This way the user is not able to register another device until we remove them as owner of their current device.
