I was trying to add some apps into app groups for ios devices. However, I see that some system apps cannot be added. Would like to confirm if this is my case only or general behaviour.

In the case of iOS devices, all system apps cannot be added to the app group.
Please refer the below table to know about the apps that can be added to the app group:
