How to Auto-lock an Android device in Hexnode after a period?Solved

I want the Android devices to be locked after an idle time period. This is because if the user leaves the device unlocked after usage, someone else might access the data in it. So if the device gets auto-locked after a period, that would be better

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

The auto-lock can be enabled on an Android device via Password policy. The device will be locked automatically if it is idle for a specific period.

To set the auto-lock:

  1. Login to the portal and navigate to Policies-> Android-> Password-> Device Password and click Configure.
  2. Click on the drop-down list next to the option ‘Auto-lock after’. You will have the following options to choose from: Never, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes or 15 minutes.
  3. Choose the desired time limit. Associate targets and save the policy.

Once the policy is successfully associated with the device, the device will get automatically locked if it remains idle for the chosen time period.

Cheers!
