Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.
If you want to wipe away only the corporate data on the devices, you can enroll the devices as Profile Owner in Android Enterprise.
When the wipe action is performed on a device enrolled as profile owner, the work container and all the data in it will be removed. The personal data in the device will be untouched.
If the wipe action is performed on a device enrolled as device owner in Android Enterprise, the device will be completely wiped.
To perform the wipe action remotely:
- Navigate to Manage-> Devices and select the desired device.
- Click on the Actions button and choose the option ‘Wipe Device’. The device wipe will be initiated.
In the case of devices enrolled via other enrollment methods, you can perform the corporate wipe. This will delete all Wi-Fi networks, Email configurations, VPNs and APNs leaving the user data untouched. The enterprise apps can also be removed from the devices remotely.
To perform a corporate data wipe, you should either
- Delete the policies that associates Wi-Fi, VPN and other settings with the device.
- Disenroll the device.
Cheers!

I am looking for more like an active file management capability for android. Basic add, delete and preferably move, copy and rename or even download a copy.
Hi @Roros, you’ve come to the right place if you require remote file management capabilities for your devices.
Hexnode UEM allows you to ‘actively’ view files and folders on your Android device and move, copy or delete them as required with the File Manager. To learn more about the File Manager, visit How to move, copy or delete files and folders on Android devices.
So, if you need to delete/move/copy a file/folder, you simply need to open the File Manager from Manage > Devices > [Choose your device] > File Manager, choose your file/folder, go to Actions and select your desired option.
Note: You can also remotely deploy files to your Android devices using Hexnode policies.
Cheers!
