Hi, I was just deploying some actions and policies to our managed Windows devices. Some actions were taking a while, so I applied those actions again. In the Action History, I noticed a Cancelled status with an info button. Is this the same as Failed status? What’s the difference between the two?

Different status displayed in Action History.

Hello @zariah. Good question you have there! It’s easy to mix up the statuses, so here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Cancelled: This status can appear in two instances:
    1. Action manually cancelled: Appears when the action is manually cancelled by the user from the Action History.
    2. Action reinitiated: If the same action is initiated again before the previous attempt is completed, the earlier attempt will be marked as Cancelled with an information icon alongside it, indicating that the action was reinitiated.
  • Failed: This status means the action couldn’t be completed due to an error or issue during execution.

Hope that clears things up!

Best Regards,
